I am inclined to select the 3rd option: both. In either scenario, the girl is dead. She won't get much of a boost from a chakra cloak that Naruto probably won't even give, considering that he will try and reach out to Sasuke as opposed to beating him silly. Sasuke is a trained killer, ChouChou is barely an academy graduate. Not to mention, she's probably the dumbest character in the series, in terms of intelligence and writing.
