Not really, the eye still belongs to Itachi and it kept the Sharingan tomoe. The way I see it Sasuke's dojutsu is Indra's eye at its full potential, it's a Mangekyo with Rinnegan powers.

The ability to synchronize both the Rinnegan and Sharingan's power to bring both Dojutsus to their full potential? Absolutely.

But I would still consider Kaguya to have the purest form of the Sharingan due to being able to combine the Rinnegan, Juubi, and Byakugan's power with the Sharingan.

Sasuke's eye is the purest it's a pure Yin eye he has 0% Ashura chakra or yang release since its not listed as 1 of his natures. Also this confirms you don't need yang chakra to achieve rinnegan or rinnesharingan.

OKkthink of it this way, if Sarada awakens her MS and her MS ability happens to be a derivative of Ameno does that mean Sasuke's Ameno is a Sharingan jutsu ? He's the progenitor of her ability but his MS doesn't have that ability

Rinnegan itself is a pure yin release power. Sasuke's affinities are listed as 5 elements and yin release no yang release. Now what's more interesting is Ashura's yang release isn't needed to awaken the Rinnegan (in other words his fodder isn't needed). So Sarada can still get the power any power Sasuke displays with his Rinnegan that is.
I have 2 theories on this the Rinnegan itself may require yang release but the Rinnegan retaining sharingan power requires only yin chakra of the highest purity (rokudo chakra is second only to his mothers hence why Sasuke only awakened 2 rings instead of 3. Or Hogaromo didn't give him the power for the 3rd ring knowing his plan I mean Sasuke's IQ with kaguya powers would be overkill).

Yeah it's something like that but I think it has less to do with purity and more to do with potency, Sasuke does have Hagoromo's Yang as it's required to unlock the Rinnegan.

But because the Sage gave Sasuke his chakra Sasuke ended up having Indra's chakra + Hagoromo chakra which is the same as Indra's chakra + (Indra's chakra + Ashura's chakra), Sasuke has twice the amount of Yin as Madara.
