does rock lee have parents?!?!?!

So I've been re-watching the first series and something dawned on me. you never see rock lee's mom and or dad only guy! yea yea well you don't see many characters parents but after the fight with gaara lee was in really bad shape and in the hospital allot. and when I came to the surgery you don't see them which to me is odd. it's always been guy in the dad role. as shown many times with naruto and sasuke kids can live by them selves in the hidden leaf. so where are lee's parent and/or what happened to them?

fyi i know he had parents @ one piont so let me clear it up does he still have parents? and as for the whole "many charaters parents you never see" lee got messed up so bad by gaara that he almost had to give up being a ninja but in the hospital you never see the parents vist so i asked does he have any? meaning is he a orphan? some how by you not seeing that makes me believe the school systems and logic failed you good sir
