Hey guys!

You all are talking about Obito sacrificing himself to "Rinne Tensei Madara",

I am wondering, is this really necessarily?

Nagato died using Rinne Tensei but there are 2 things which you might forgot, or I am having them wrong in my memory.

a) Nagato died due to exhausting his Chakra reserves to 100%, not because he used Rinne Tensei
b) He used Rinne Tensei on a whole town instead of just one person

am I mistaken here?

(I am at work and I can't search for the Manga where he used it sorry:) )

The point I am trying to make is, that Madara could be revived without any sacrifice needed, which would crush every single "Obito won't sacrifice himself for Madara and his plan.

No, it doesnt require a sacrifice. Nagato revived one of his own paths using the jutsu, and it wasnt even a factor where his chakra was concerned. Maybe Madara plans to use Obito's body as a vessle, because he doesnt have his former body... Last time I checked, the body was require to perform a reanimation of said person nd the person must have recently died. No body, nothing for the soul to return to... ? Thoughts?

More importantly, how is he supposed to revive him? With what body? The Konoha nin that got resurrected in the Pain arc died really recently, but Madara has been dead for 16 years or so.

No..... It's just that he returns the soul to the original body which isn't available for Madara so he needs a good body to keep up with his OP powers...

Obito isn't Nagato... Uzumaki are blessed with huge life span and life force which Uchiha doesn't have... So, surely It would be like Obito interchanges his life with Madara's...

Probably not. If Obito uses it he would die probably because he doesn't have that Uzumaki body(probably the reason Nagato was given the rinnengan in the first place) as well as him being dead for a long time.

Okay I just NOW read 614 and in there Obito himself states
"Because to become a Jinchuuriki you need to concretely revive and to do that I need to throw away my life to use the Rinne Tensei no Jutsu on you"
so I guess.... he has to die or no revived Madara

Well it says it in the manga so I am going to say yes it does. No matter which translation you look at it says Obito must sacrifice his life to bring back Madara.

I think the difference between Nagato and Obito would be that Nagato had a massive chakra supply and long life as stated earlier and that is why he was able to revive a whole village, where as Obito will only be able to revive one person in Madara.

But the fact remains it states it in the manga so it must be true Obito must sacrifice himself to bring back Madara and if he does not do that then Madara will not be able to be the Juubi's jin.

the naraka's path's jutsu is not rinne tensei. nagato's ability over life and death was the seventh path.

given that obito said that rinne tensei costs the user's life, i don't see what there is to argue about really

i think the user has to die, but uzamaki was gived with long life. Like when you extract a bijuu from its host they have to die......but not kushina because she's uzamaki. So whether or not obito has half senju, he will still die. Reason why mito out lived hashirama senju.

Well Madara would have to revive Obito after he dies because he needs Obito still. His body will eventually die. In order for them to keep the Tsukuyomi going forever they need to revive each other when they get old and die.
