But i don't see why he would need to, any genjutsu thrown at him gets released before the uchiha can even attack him.

But when you can sense Negative emotions/Killing intent. Have Sage mode sensing, Shadow Clones and have Kurama being your off-eyes. He doesn't really need them imo.

Naruto did not even need to look at Sasuke to see he was behind him with Amen. So I doubt he needs to look at Sasuke.

This was obvious ever since he used Sage Mode against Pain, it's needed for him to be on par with Sasuke. Sensing is the best way to counter dojutsu and fast taijutsu users.
