Does Naruto actually have the upper hand?

So far this latest chapter has shown Naruto go into BM and immediately activate SM. He seems to be going all out, despite what Sasuke has said about him 'slacking'. So IMO we are left to conclude one of the following is true:

1) Naruto is going all out, and he's weaker than Sasuke and knows it
2) Naruto is not going all out and has some new mode he hasn't used yet for whatever reason
3) Sasuke is just extremely smug and overestimates his power and himself

Frankly I have the hardest time believing #3 is true, given Sasuke has said or at least thought some praising things about Naruto during the war arc. I think it may actually be that this is the full extent of Naruto's power (truth seeking balls, SM + BM) and that he is now canonically weaker than Sasuke.

That's flawed logic. Kishi can only write one counter at a time and it has to follow by another. The fight isn't like a versus thread. Naruto has already counter Fire Ball Technique using the Rasengan. [

Well, for one we don't know if both of them are going all out, for all we as the reader know, they may be holding back and trying not to destroy a landscape the size of great nation.

Secondly, though it doesn't seems like Sasuke is overestimating his power (he's been Naruto's equal for several volumes now), the idea and action wouldn't be out of character.

And third, the battle is still anyone's game.......

Unable, meaning Sasuke was stronger than Naruto. Also, when Ashura defeated Indra, he had an entire army at his back.

Safe to say, Sasuke has the advantage in this fight so far. Naruto is being repelled, thrown down into the war and utterly dominated.

BZ told Kaguya to focus on Sasuke first. They regarded him as the primary threat. Base may not like it, but Sasuke is at least as powerful as Nardo, if not more powerful outright, faster, smarter and generally better.

Why do people keep interpreting that as Naruto saying Sasuke is stronger? He's saying he can't beat Sasuke cause if they fight they would both die. Meaning they were equal.

We haven't seen the Ashura vs Indra fight, so that claim is fiction.

Sasuke doesn't have the advantage. He is holding back and his power is matching Naruto who is also holding back.

Also, Black Zetsu didn't say to focus on Sasuke first. He said to separate them so they couldn't seal her.

Madara and kaguya could not be killed, they needed to be seal,well that was before madara absorb the shinju tree before that I think he was able to die.

How did you know that Ashura had an entire army at his back?? Can't remember it being metioned anywhere. One thing is for sure, that Ashura's successor Hashirama defeated Indra's successor Madara, without a help from anyone!
