does naruto actually aquire the rennigan and become the sage of the sixth paths

theres been alot of talk about naruto getting the rennigan i want to know if he does and becomes the sage of the sixth. because when naruto pulled away the nine tails chakra and sealed it in another part of his body the nine asked him self if this is the sage of the sixths paths. if anyone has any idea or actually know please respond to fill me in
