[Discussion] does minato know naruto?

we cant know yet but lets assume (and hope) the kages are going to the battlefield or there will be a different sort of interaction between the kages and naruto. now i wonder, is this edo minato linked with the one who showed up when naruto fought pain? it cant be because it was chakra he seperated from himself and sealed into naruto but on the other hand i dont think kishi is going to repeat a "first" meeting. what do you think?

I said the same thing in a previous thread. People are going to say yes, that he does remember seeing Naruto... but I am going to say no. I mean, Minato seperated his chakra, and that chakra dissapeared after the talk with Naruto. It couldn't return to Minato, since he was in the belly of the death god. I'm not sure how Kishi is going to explain this one.

BUT, then again, Orochimaru did something similar.

Well maybe that programmed chakra (it sounds ridiculous but what to do ) went back to the demon's belly and as it was in essence a fraction of Minato's consiousness he got informed.

He wasn't dead, he was absorbed. Basically, his consciousness lived on from within Sasuke.
