Indra believed power is the key to peace, but Madara doesnt seem to believe that, he seems to believe Dreams and Illusions are the key to peace.:p

Yes he does.

With power comes control

Madara amassed power in order to control people. Infinite Tsukuyomi is the apex of power/control for he is God in the realm of dreams

No power = no control

Indra wanted to succeed the sqge. Madara did succeed the sage he is the one and the same. Indras power being passed on doesnt change madaras will or power.

Like he said, he seeks order, control, no more than that. And they have wealth to make it for them. Wealth to get power, but wealth doesn't count in Naruto, therefor directly power.

To create order you need to influence, since humans are known as rebellious, trying to create peace from understanding would eventually lead to chaos.

Since this is the Manga and real world logic doe not apply, Nagato explains even you were to achieve peace it was only temporary.

Yes, from any way, order or understanding humans will rebel and try to change. It'll be faster and worse if it's in form of understanding.

I agree though real world logic doesn't apply, people became suddenly all emotional and happy from Gaara's speech to the alliance.

The IT won't succeed, unless he has the power to make it happen.
