I can't see madara uchiha killing his clan because they betray him. Madara try to protect them he wouldn't go to hashirama have chit chat about stone, tobirama, uchiha clan. he wanted the clan to destined themselves from the village. it was his dying brother wish to protect the clan. i dont think madara knows the clan is dead. madara died long before uchiha massacre.
