Does LOVE really exist?

Now most of us Say "OF COURSE YOU IDIOT", well I would have said that if you asked me 2 years ago but I do not think so. First of all love is an emotion "apparently" that can not be stopped and it gives you the power to walk trough Tartarus and back.Well if it is so strong than why is it one second, you "love" your wife but 2 months later, you may divorce? If Love is what they say it is, than NO humanly thing could stop it.

Second of all, why is it a lot of the time if you "hate" or "dislike" some people, and If you get to know them and they are nice to you, you suddenly start to like them?

I think the word "LOVE" is just a true word for getting use to someone. How can you deeply "LOVE" a partner and than divorce and find a new one? I believe that as humans, we get use to each other, causing us to like each other. That is why family is most important to people, because you see your family members a lot and get use to them.

Also if "Love" is so special, I will put you on an island with a good looking and very nice girl (good mood)
5 years later, you will return and say "I love her"

The thing is that love can be controlled and It is just getting use to people.

My husband and I did divorce but we remarried last month.
We've been together 8 years now, even when we were divorced we were together.

My parents have been together for 21 years by now. They still go out on little dates and to the movies every now and then. They still talk with each other as if they aren't tired of the same old, same old and it's cause they aren't. One example of divorce does not equate love not existing period, just not for those two people. The same with most cases of divorce as well.

Only a handful of ppl experience love, to be honest i am somewhat sasuke like in that category... I dated many girls (not bragging) but i lost interest in each one of them in two to three weeks....i haven't felt *that* connection with any yet...
