Does Konohamaru have a shot? Or are his hopes six feet under like his uncle Asuma?

How do you figure that? Without Kurama, Naruto still have 4x the chakra of a Kakashi who is Kage level. If Kakshi wasn't pissing about in part 1 with only Sasuke, Naruto may have come further than he did before Jiraiya took him.

Eh, he's still a genin. A little above average but still a genin. He has potential. If Naruto trains him, he'll definitely become hokage.

Konohamaru is kind of overrated. Most of his feats are from fillers. Canon Konohamaru can only make two clones and use a rasengan. That's not that impressive. Naruto with only a night of training was able to use the multi shadow clone jutsu and defeat a chunin with it. While learning the rasengan is impressive for his age, it probadly didn't take much work considering Naruto probably told him all the short cuts to learn it.

As for him becoming Hokage, I don't know all of the Hokages were geniuses who created their own techs. Konohamaru just seems like a regular shinobi to me.

What makes you doubt him? Sarutobi clan is known to be quite powerful and hes only a kid

The cloud fodderism that was Asuma Sarutobi hangs over the Sarutobi name. Asuma the son of the 3rd Hokage was nowhere close to his father's power despite being the same age when Hiruzen began to teach Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru. Asuma wasn't even a Hokage prospect like Kakashi.

The Sarutobi clan has whispers of hype, but only Hiruzen lives up to them. The whole clan may be all fodder. We don't even know if Konohamaru's dad is a ninja.

If he gets enma and a few more jutsu I don't see why not. The rest of his generation besides hanabi are irrelevant.
