He did perform a toad summoning technique similar to Jiraiya's Food Cart Destroyer back in part 1 so this leads me to believe that he either was once a student there or he discovered the location of Mt.Myoboku and infiltrated it and left with a couple of secret techniques what do you guys think?

or he could be Jiraiya's relative, maybe a brother or cousin.

Or perhaps Jiraiya himself, we never actually saw his dead body. Kind of like we never saw AO’s during his death in the original series.

I would be ok if he was related to Jiraiya but i would prefer if he was once a student of Mt.Myoboku and just went down a dark path it would be pretty cool to see a guy who is as skilled as Jiraiya use frog techniques for evil purposes

Kabuto did confirm that Jiraiya's body couldn't be retrieved because it was in the lower depths of the sea

I think he ate a toad when he was a kid.

My point still remains, we never seen his actual dead body. Sometimes the plot can counterpunch what we or a character assumes.

Alot of online speculation is that he Jiraiya's son. I however doubt this, and believe he has been to mount frogs in his past as a shinobi. Don't forget now all of the mysterious group are ex-shinobi.

He did not did the Food Cart Destroyer, he summon the frog under him and its weight destroy the building.

If he was a student then we might see him using SM?

I'd assume the toad had a similar story to Ao most likely.

Dying/left for dead, Was found and repaired lost/damaged body parts and such and became his summon. It would be funny if it was the toad Danzo attempted to kill to prevent naruto from returning to konoha during the pain invasion.

What do you mean ties I doubt he's in good standings with the toads unless theirs an evil toad faction

It won't be Jiraiya. In an interview Kishimoto had with Kobayashi, he stated he didn't want to bring Jiraiya back to life in the 4th shinobi war with edo tensei because it would undo an event that brought Naruto closer to understanding Sasuke and developing as a person. Using that same logic, it makes no sense why Kishimoto would allow him to come back now.

Possibly, I think it’s more they hijacked a toad summon with ninja tech

I never said he used the Food Cart Destroyer technique i said it was similar too it but he used his toad summoning in the same fashion

Ties as in him being a former student of Mt.Myoboku or something else entirely but i wouldn't be suprised if he just went a dark route while still retaining some of knowledge he learned from Mt.Myoboku but hey its just a theory of mine
