I can see him dying. Oda cutting to the reverie. Then wano and one of the sun pirates shows up and we get a flashback of what happened. I know oda doesn’t like killing people but we someone die this arc as far as we know.

I think it's more likely that he gets captured than he gets killed. Even if shown later in a flashback, it would essentially be an off screen death. I don't see that happening to a character like Jinbei.
