Does itachi lose?

Out of all the famous theorized shinobi matchups, probably one of the most disputed is of the 2 highest scoring shinobi in the entire data book: Itachi and Jiraiya.

Also, there's the added controversy of itachi saying that even with backup, they'd likely at most stalemate

This thread isn't to say who will or won't win (that thread is for later)

I just want to see who YOU think wins.

On one hand, the "itachi didn't wanna kill jiraiya" argument is nonsensical because at the time, Kishi almost certainly didn't know what he was gonna do with itachi yet (thus the riddles he spoke in and him being brutal against kakashi and sasuke. If tsunade never showed up, they'd be in indefinite comas)

On the other hand, although I personally think jiraiya's moveset makes him trump itachi... i don't think he'd beat itachi AND several akatsuki.

Anyway. What do you guys think. I am almost positive itachi will win the poll. Not only does he have some of the most fans in the manga, he's also got fans that hype him more than any other. Probably more than half of itachi fans would swear up and down that itachi would beat kaguya, thats beyond this scope though.

Again, i'm sure itachi is gonna win the poll, but i need to know for sure before i make my thread explaining why itachi would have actually lost that fight

People keep on pitting Jiraiya and Itachi against one another.. truth is their pretty much on equal terms in everything , jutsu , ideals , intelligence ... The only thing that isn't is genjutsu , which itachi beats everyone in.
