[Question] Does it get better

A lot of Naruto fans recommended Fairy Tail to me. I started it and the beginning was very immature and childish. However many people told me that If I like Naruto than I would like Fairy Tail. So does it become more intense/dramatic etc.?

It still keeps the story light-hearted. It still has over-powered characters. It still has annoying female characters, but at least they're useful. It still has enemies turned friends. Not alot of tnj so that's also good. All in all it's the same story, imo.

I personally wouldn't recommend it.
The anime itself mixes filler with canon, and it's not as intense as you'd probably want it to be. Most of the time, it's all about fanservice rather than a decent plot.

I wouldn't suggest watching it cause they cancelled the anime but instead I'd recommend reading the manga.

Yeah to be honest, the first 10 episodes of Naruto are awful.

I was just saying 3-10, but if don't like something after a third of the way through, you probably won't like it. For movies it probably be a hour in (if its a 2 hour movie).

Does FT get better? I think so, but like as a whole I wouldn't say it's the greatest or even like Naruto lol. The best arc in the series, in my opinion at least, was probably the Tower of Heaven arc (ep. 33-40). The Edolas arc was also pretty decent and I liked some of the fights in the Tenrou Island arc.

However, the series fails to seriously develop any of the characters or advance the plot in a meaningful way aside from "fight for your friends." That's literally all the series is about period. It's fun, and there's good action, environments, etc., but it just feels like the series has lost so much of the appeal that it once had. It's not like Naruto where you get major character deaths, heavy character backstories, or serious character development (like with Naruto's encounter with Pain).

I dunno. For me I'm really torn because there's a lot to love and there's a lot to hate and get upset over. Just don't compare it to Naruto lol.

It starts getting much better after the first few episodes, but lately in the current Grand Magic Games arc I think the manga has been starting to go downhill a bit, but I think it's just because it seems so dragged on and the whole Eclipse Plan and Dragons should have to come already. I remember I used to look forward to a new chapter each friday but now I'm just like '''... oh, is it Friday already? oh that means new FT chapter...'' hahaha, but oh well, I'm still waiting for it to get better, cause really it is a good manga overall and I don't think it's worth dropping.

As for the anime, don't watch it, it's already been cancelled unless stated otherwise. And I think the Naruto animation and art is much better cause it stays true to the manga while the Fairy Tail anime makes Mashima's art and designs look horrible.

Yes because they don't have any of their S class guys....since gildart was fighting the dragon, Erza and Mirajan was frozen and mystogon was gone aswell
