This isn't a mutual fight between mizuki and Tobirama.

Izuna was hit was a simple straight forward thrust nothing fancy sword play at work, the real skill Tobirama used was his space time jutsu catching him by surprise.

Same with iruka, just a straight forward throw of the shuriken to hit him.

The Uchiha were never on par with the Senju, as Hashirama said so himself. We even saw that Madara had to resort to 100% Kurama, a Bijuu that's even stronger than the next-in-line Gyuki with only 50% of it's power, in order to match Hashirama. Even with Rennigan and Mokuton, Edo Madara was still only ever fighting on par with Hashirama. So yeah, MS Izuna isn't anything special.

OP was comparing how Izuna died as a result but Iruka didn't. Mostly its a matter of vital organs being hit in Izuna's case and not vital organs being hit in Iruka's case. Its logical that Iruka would survive it, but he would have had a high chance of being crippled afterward.

@OP specifically, its because Tobirama hit vital organs with the slash while Iruka's organs were not hit.

Are you daft? Those two have the best regeneration feats in the series, Iruka is just an average person and he tanked a HUGE shuriken in his back that could have severed his spine. Saying those two tanked stuff is like saying water is wet.

His sword merely grazed the side of izuna's body, wasn't even stabbed.

The ribcage is protecting all of them, heart, lungs, stomach etc. That only leaves the intestines surrounded by muscle and fat and again since the sword merely grazed him they wouldn't be affected only the fat surrounding them assuming the sword hit that area.

and btw those are terrible examples even for the argument, obito and sasuke were dead were it not for immediate extensive medical attention.
