Most of the time yeah, you gotta be happy by yourself though too, otherwise you'll develop a dependency of the girl for your happiness (personal experience). Girls can make a guy happy, shit there are things girls can do to a guy to make him him happy beyond his wildest imagination... But it's up to a man to sustain his happiness without a girl. And there's plenty of ways to do that.

OT: Yes, it does. You feel like telling every single soul out there that you have a gf. But, when there is a breakup, it feels like you have lost someone, there's that intense trauma and disbelief. That's the time when people get desperate and do the wrong thing: they beg their ex to take them back, which never ever happens.

I think it all depends on who she is to you. Other girls I had, they were fun for a while, afterwards, no help, no fun, etc.
