He won't destroy it, he'll re-write the tablet but without the bull Zetsu had inserted. Otherwise his clan wouldn't know how to use dojutsu's full potential :yeah:

He re-wrote it after learning Zetsu edited the original content. There's no reason to destroy knowledge given by Hagoromo considering he had the same wishes as Naruto.

I wouldn't say it in simple past tense. Conditional simple would be more appropriate. He would have done that, yeah, since it makes most sense. He wouldn't want the Uchiha to lose the doujutsu battle to the Hyuuga, after all.
