I implore you to show me in the bible where killing sin in the name of the lord is wrong when he himself is the epitome of what is pure and good. He even states in the bible that he himself will eliminate sin (notice how Elijah didn't kill the sinners). Show me a law where it says God isn't suppose to kill off sin

Commandment 6: Thou Shalt Not Kill

Ephesians 6:5
Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ

How about using the correct translation?

Ephesians 6King James Version (KJV)

5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Look up the hebrew word for servant

Slaves/servants were not treated like they were in our history

Commandment 6: Thou Shalt Not Kill

That was the law of the land, a law does not apply to the one who made the law (it was an old law anyway)

Notice how God also says

Romans 6:23King James Version (KJV)

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 3:4King James Version (KJV)

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Notice how Elijah didn't kill the children

You've just now admitted that God is less moral than men. Good job! For even if there's a code in the bible where god is not allowed to also sin, his moral immunity from sinning and his continued acts of sinning under the terms he placed us over places him far lower than us in morality.

If he's hellbent on eliminating sin, how about performing acts that don't involve sinning himself? That would eliminate a great chunk already. You've been great on dodging that issue too. Why not eliminate conflicts without loss of life? That would benefit both parties? Wouldn't that be great? That'd be a God worthy of worship. Instead I see evidence several times in the bible where God just...sweeps that under the proverbial rug.

Odin's flowing beard it doesn't!

Lawmakers have to obey the law, or the entire thing is meaningless. End of story. So stop quoting a book written thousands of years ago as if it holds any meaning today.

Magnetic fields are not conductors. Magnetic fields are vehicles for gravity and matter to travel. No, you're not allowed to change your analogy a third time to say "the magnetic field is a vehicle then".

Electrons do not conduct themselves.

No, no he is not. We have some bad people in our world, but not even the worst of our humans killed off the entire planet (or so was stated in the book he tells us to read).

This is probably why he is far from the most moral "man" in the universe. What do we call people who isn't controlled by emotions? Psychopaths.
"individuals suffering from alexithymia also have difficulty in distinguishing and appreciating the emotions of others, which is thought to lead to unempathic and ineffective responses"

So when God decided to kill off the entire planet? Didn't feel a thing. He's more moral than all of us, guys!

"How dare you say something bad about God! You're a blasphemer and shall be crucified just like what we do to other blasphemers, which also just happens to be what happened to our prophet...."

Let me ask you a fourth time. How in God's name do you know God's plan? It is a simple goddamned question. You either know it or you don't, sweetie.

I'm not your sweetie. And I already said that i believe it is to perfect al of his creation. And I said electrons use the magmatic field as a conductor. If you believe God is immoral you clearly need to do more studying, research, or whatever it is Frankenstein Ags do. Where does it say God killed the whole planet? If he did so what. He created us he has the right to do what he wants with us.

1. As long as you continue digging your grave backpeddling like this without providing a clear answer as to how you know what God's plan is, you will continue to be my sweetiepie. So, Sweetiepie, if you don't want to be called my sweetiepie, tell me how you know what God's plan is. You told me what the supposed plan is, but how do you know?

2. Electrons do not use magnetic fields as a conductor. Learn some physics.

3. God is immoral. He is capable of not committing sins, but he sins anyways. He killed off the whole planet, save a group of people and two of all creatures, by flooding the entire planet and killing 99% of life on Earth. If you do not know of The Great Flood, it is you who needs to study up on the Bible.

4. If he does whatever he wants to do with us, why waste our time worshipping him? If he does not play by the rules, who is to say he won't play by the rules in the afterlife?

Scroll down to where Riker posted the same nonsense and combined that with the scriptures I gave you. You asked of events that happened in the bible and I'm using the bible to explain to you why that outcome happen. Don't ask about the book but not expect me to use the book to disprove what you're saying

Is this how you dodge a falsehood? He clearly told you that lawmakers are not above the law, despite your claims that they are above the law. If people stopped dodging questions, this thread would be resolved a long time ago.

No, i didn't. I never asked for explanations accoriding to a thousand year old book of propaganda. I point out flaws in said book.

If you think a lawmaker is above the law, you have lots to learn about how the law works.

So you didn't pull random scriptures from the bible trying to prove God is a hypocrite? Do I need to gather screenshots? Do I need to gather quotes? Because if you didn't' there would have been no need to quote scriptures to refute the scriptures you posted buddy

Follow the link and you will have your answer

You are still dodging the questions, after all this time. The link is showing the bible quote "all are under the authority of god". So this shows, once again, that humans are not allowed to sin. Great. So why is God allowed to sin, yet be called more moral than us? We're approaching circular reasoning again. So answer the question. It's not hard. Is God a hypocrite or not? If he is not a hypocrite, explain how his wanton destruction of whatever he pleases is more moral than our sins. If he is a hypocrite, why call him God at all? Why keep him on a higher platform than us if he's clearly less moral than us?

Woah woah woah, backup. Yeah you take the story of Noah literally which makes you look ignorant. That's a metaphorical story.
Excuse me for not knowing all of physics. But from my understanding I thought using something as a medium would make it a conductor, no?
God is not an unjust God. He does not break his own law.
I know that that's Gods plan because when he created himself there was a wobble in his nature. That wobble was impatience. He wants to fix that in his creation and make it perfect

And read carefully because all the question you are asking answer is in there

I get a 404 message.

1. Why even follow the Bible then? Sorry, but if you're to take one part of the Bible literally, then the entire book isn't meant to be taken literally. That is, if you want to have the Bible even the most minuscule chance to have the scrutiny as Science does.

2. Conductors are defined as conductors if they facilitate passage of electricity and increase the flow of it. Magnetic Fields are just vehicles. Vectors.

3. Yep, just as wobbly a reason as everyone else's reason for how they know of God's plan. Was not surprised.

I personally am not religious(More spiritual) but I still want to pose the following questions. Does God have a plan? If there is a plan, what's the point of praying for a specific outcome if it is or isn't already in the plan? I think it's just to put people at ease for not being in control of their life(In their perspective) and making them think they have a choice.

Depends upon what you consider to be a plan.

Taoism has a slightly different perspective on a similar question. Everyone has what could be called a destiny. Rebelling against that destiny can make you a miserable person, and even destroy you. Your individual destiny is part of a much greater destiny - a 'flow.'

For example, ignoring the inner calling to break from the pace and take a different job can lead to sweltering self-doubt and inner tension. Investing yourself in following that call - or impulse - can build confidence in your ability to handle new challenges and prepare you for greater things in life. It may not lead to riches or status in and of itself, but it may be a path that is necessary for you to find growth and development.

Whether you ascribe this to "God" or the "Taiji" is a simple matter of perspective. The Taoist sees this as a natural consequence of the world - you don't get to control what world you are born into or the demands it places upon you - you can only choose how to react to those demands and to apply your efforts in a way that is fulfilling and/or meaningful.

Generally speaking, praying for a specific outcome is somewhat selfish. However, communing with others toward a common desire for an outcome is one way to affect that outcome - so an expression of solidarity and commitment to that can be a means of bringing about what is destined.

Taoist philosophers had some great discussions/debates on the concept of free will.

So you send me the same link. I read the entire thing. The hypocrisy of God is still an enigma.

Ok, I'm not going to waste my time when the laws clearly apply to man and not God (because he is the epitome of what is righteous) himself which was already explained in the thread for he is the one that kills the wicked and not us unless commanded too. If you want to understand, go read and study the bible and then come back with questions. Not debating with an Atheist who just pulls scripture from google to try and debunk Christianity. I don't like debating with Atheist in regards of text in religion

You're not going to waste time, when you clearly still have a question to answer? God has the ability to end conflicts without punishment, and yet he doesn't. He commits the same acts that we would be punished for if we did it. So don't tell me that he is more moral than we are when he has the ability to not kill people in a flood, or sick bears on children to kill children, et cetera ad infinitum, yet continues to do so.

If I had the ability to end conflicts without destruction, I know I would do it without a second thought. I wouldn't have all these powers circulating in my mind and think "I think instead of making the earth at peace, I'm just going to flood it and start over". He's omnipotent for Christ's sake!

You realise we only pull quotes from scripture because you asked for us to give examples from the bible, right? It's not like we actually think this stuff holds meaning. A Lawmaker must be subject to his own laws, and no lines from ancient propaganda you can quote change this.

tell me, has the bible ended conflicts, or increased them?

hint, look at what you are doing, right now.

Because of wicked men and misinterpretation. The bible didn't create these problems, man did. A gun doesn't kill a man on it's own. The person pulling the trigger does

If everyone followed the laws of the bible do you think there would be conflict?

All who have sinned against God are worthy of death Roman 3:23. God says children obey your parents in the lord for this is right. God broke no moral laws, murder is the unlawful taking of life, killing is the lawful taking of life. God has no problem with you killing in self defense, If mere killing of any kind was the issue, then why would God saying killing in self-defense is permissible? He wouldn't.

God isn't evil, the better question is, "Why aren't we all dead by now? We are all lucky we didn't end up like those children, considering all of us have said much worse.

Another example is the Canaanites where God ordered the infants to be killed, God knew what the Canaanites would do to his people in the future he knows all. Those children would have grown as adherents to the evil religions and practices of their parents. By ending their lives as children, God enabled them to have entrance into heaven.

You people need to realize God looks at things from an eternal perspective and that His ways are higher than our ways.

And when I use the bible to disprove what you posted then what is the problem? You googled something you didn't understand, got insight on it and you're still unsatisfied

The problem is that at no point have you given a satisfactory reason as to why God is not subject to his laws. If he is the ultimate good, then he should follow his own damn rules.

Is God a man or a Surpreme being?

Was the law made for God or man?

Does a dog follow the same laws as a human?
