Does Garra Have a Chance at Beating MS Sasuke?

1. We saw in the first fight of Kakashi vs Itachi how hard it is to fight someone without eye contact. Only someone like Gai who did alot of training could manage but looking at the feet and fighting already puts you at a disadvantage. Gaara hasnt done this training and flying doesnt mean no genjutsu.

2. Gaara can only pull someone out of Susano'o if it is light sand which Onoki made it with his ability and in a one on one fight his sand will be normal so he cant pull him out with it.

3. Gaara blocked Enton. Although it is Amaterasu it differs in the way it is executed. It controls already summoned Amaterasu and lets the person manipulate it which considerabaly slowd it down compared to directly using Amaterasu with just eye contact

1. Gaara can fight with third eye. Sasuke cant hit gaara with genjutsu if gaara is wraped in his sand dome with hus eye watching the battle (like he did to deidara).

2. And oonoki making gaara's sand light had nothing to do with gaara pulling people out of susanoo (that is a fanboy excuse to protect susanoo users). Lightining the sand only made the sand faster, but gaara was still able to hold susanoo completely still with his sand. How do you justify that a certain weight can make susanoo penetrable? smh

3. Gaara blocks enton and amaterasu. Explain how amaterasu hits gaara. It cant.

It would be close but I do think if sasuke uses amaterusa it would be more in favor to Garaa then Sasuke because if he blocks it he'll have flaming sand to fling around. Sasuke has already been shown being able to break through Garaa's shield with chidori so he does have at least one way to hit him. It would be a pretty even match but I think Sasuke squeaks out the win.

To me, when it comes to vs. matches against Uchihas, the big question is, "Can you block/dodge Amaterasu?" If yes, then there is a possible chance that you could be equal to or beat one. Garra's Sand Shield can block it, so what do you guys think?

Gaara has a great defense, but is Gaara's offense strong enough to get through Susanoo? And can Gaara's sand provide a sustained defense against a physical Susanoo assault?

Is Sasuke going to be having a smart fight where he studies his opponent, plans ahead and conserves his energy (like in the fight against Deidara) or is he going to be an idiot spamming his strongest attacks before he has any kind of plan to win (like the fight against Danzo)?

If Gaara is patient, he can drain Sasuke down. Sasuke is going to have to use Susanoo to protect himself if he gets caught in a Desert Imperial Funeral. If that happens, who will have more stamina? Sasuke to keep Susanoo up so he is protected, or Gaara to keep covering Susanoo with wave after wave of sand to keep Susanoo under pressure?

I think Gaara might have an edge here, but that's just speculation on my part.

Gaara has a chance of winning against MS sasuke.

1. He can clock amaterasu with is sand
2. Susano can be restrain by the sand
3. As shown when he fought kimmimaro, gaara can change the landscape in sand so he would be able to go below susano
4. MS jutsu put great stress on sasuke body he wont be able to spam it.

The only way I see sasuke winning is if he use his lightning jutsu and his speed like he did in part 1 because MS jutsu are kinda useless against gaara sand and MS sasuke doesnt have enough chakra to spam like it is showed in the kage summit where he did 3-4 amaterasu and he kept susano for not much time before getting out of chakra.

Let me clear something up real quick about sand blocking amaterasu, THE ONLY REASON SAND BLOCKED SASUKES AMATERASU FROM HITTING THE RAIKAGE IS BECAUSE HE KNEW WHAT SASUKE WAS GOING TO DO AND BLOCKED HIS LINE OF SIGHT RIGHT BEFORE SASUKE RELEASED. Automatic defence doesn't help against amaterasu because it's an instant thing, it's not something that you see coming it's whatever sasukes eyes are locked on to, you don't dodge amaterasu, A used body flicker as a gamble, he waited until the second before he thought sasuke was gonna use it and moved at super speed so sasuke wasn't looking at him when he released it.

Second, sasuke has pierced garas sand with chidori already and proven that his taijutsu is faster than the sand can react to and he's only gotten better. If that wasn't enough he's got susano which could peirce sand, tsukyomi; and gara doesn't have the one tail to help him out anymore.

Dont compare the fight they had 3 years ago. For amaterasu gaara only has to put sand in front of him at anytime. For susano he already prove he can block it with his sand like he did against madara. Sasuke is weak with genjustu i would be stupid to use it because it hurts him when he does. Like i said the only way sasuke can win is with lightning jutsu and try to out run gaara with speed if he is fast enough but i doubt it .

And maybe i missed 1 or 2 chapter but when did sasuke got izanami anyway?

Gaara would start off well but Sasuke is to far advanced in my opinion for Gaara to handle for more then just a quarrel.

A shinobi's skill level stacks the odds in their favor, but at the end of the day, it's still a battle of odds. It's like that show Deadliest Warrior: the victor wasn't chosen based on a single battle, but on a statistical average over a few thousand hypothetical battle scenarios.

Well if we look at the manga we see a few pros and cons:

Garra:
He has been see pulling the user of Susanoo from the safety of it.
His sand can block a strike from both sasuke and the raikage.
When fighting Deidara he used like...a mountains worth of sand to protect the village.

Sasuke:
Amaturatsu is fast but limited to the number uses.
Susanoo can fire arrows allowing him to stay at a safe range to attack.
Ems grants him even better visual abilities then before (to see through objects, chakra systems etc)

I would give it to Sasuke due to the speed he has over Garra. However if it was in the desert were Garra had alot of access to sand, Sasuke would have problems but would still win.
