I think they are because Hidan is akatsuki
and i think Neji>Hidan (Mid Difficulty)
Gaara>Hidan(easily)
Kimimaro>Hidan(Mid, high difficulty
Lee=>Hidan(Barely idk)

If they dont know hidan's abilitiy they can not survive from Hidan all of them Taijutsu user after all. Except Gaara would be useful for Akatsuki. Kimimaro is also due to his KG.

What is Akatsuki level anyway? Akatsuki is a group of S-criminal ninjas that have unique special abilities. They capture tailed beast and jinchurikies. OT: The only ones imo who can beat Hidan in that list is Gaara.

Neji's level is the same as his rank, Jonin. Idk about Lee. He probably has enough power to be Jonin level but not smarts or leadership ability. Gaara and a healthy, older Kimimaru are definitely S-rank.

The character design for Kimimaro was so bad ass that i WISH he was in Akatsuki, he had a near-unbeatable style and Akatsuki is a bit short on strong taijutsu users. although they must be hesitant to recruit any more deathly ill young people at this point XD

the reason that Hidan was chosen to be in Akatsuki, is that he has unique ability to capture jinchuriki and he is immortal to paired with Kakuzu...and there is no such thing as Akatsuki level, there only jonin, kage, s-rank nin and so on
