Im not saying hes bad but whenever i see ichigo or goku i sorta feel narutos out of place being main character.

He just acts too stupidsometimes..
HE has the raw power just he isn't as skilled as goku or ichigo beome at using and mastering that power
He could have so many more jutsu and elements to use but he fails to recognize that

no, an i haven't really seen that "will to never give up" what he always talks about...we saw alittle bit from zabuza vs team 7, but never again.... look at ichigo when he was fighting uqiora, even though he was getting beat the hell out of him, he never dropped his sword untill he died, or luffy, countless times beaten to a pulp, and still gets up to protect his nakama, naruto just has power and beats everyone >.>
vs pain , he was owning the paths, then he started getting beat, got stabbed in his arms and legs, and he seemed to have already given up right there and then, dude was all sulky and stuff. he was beat

id rather see him as the silent type who always goes in alone but is always cool about it like Nero from Devil May Cry 4
Its true though, there have been a few times when I thought that kishimoto change his main character for sasuke, he focused on the sharingan too much, he could have focus on other characters and the byakugan, for example anko, neji, tenten, lee!! and I could go on and on, in shippuden it didn't look like Naruto was the main character if there were no fillers, since almost every filler in shippuden is about him, and his fights in shippuden aren't that good, only the one with Pain, he could have given him better fights, and what makes Naruto not a great main character is *I have to save sasuke* Like for fuKK sake just killed that little emo bastard, that's how kishimoto made Naruto lame, Naruto would have been cool if it wasn't for that, now the only thing I want kishimoto to do is end the show with Naruhina but I have a feeling that it won't happen.

He is an awesome main character, especially since at the beginning of the series is is portrayed to be so weak and stupid.
The thing I like about naruto is that not only is he extremely determined and puts in immensely hard work to become more powerful, but even more than his power has grown is his character.
At the beginning of the series all he wanted to do was become hokage so that everyone would acknowledge him, a sort of selfish goal. Now as his character has grown he has adopted a goal worthy of his growth: to bring piece to the ninja world. He is no longer concerned about himself, but concerned about those around him. He has developed into a true hero.
As far as character growth, he has shown far more growth than even son Goku did in dragon ball. So yeah naruto is definitely a good main character, one of the best.
