Does Byakugan need an upgrade?

I'm sure this topic was brought up many times but do you believe Kishi should give the Byakugan some sort of upgrade? I mean the eyes were considered so great in Part 1 but when Part 2(Shippuden) came along it was completely forgotten while Sharingan got multiple transformations and upgrades and new eyes (Rinnegan) were introduced.

I also believe many of us were interested in a Sasuke vs Neji match-up in part 1. With the current manga ending with a Sasuke glare many have speculated he's awaiting the Ninja army. This would be a great chance to see Sasuke vs Neji if the Byakugan has in fact gotten better but we did not know it till now. Yes Sasuke would win but I would love for Neji to go down in style, if he is to be killed.

So my fellow members, do you think the Byakugan should go down in style or just remain as it is?

wow i have been thinking about this a lot, the byakugan should have some sort of upgrade but i can't think of any atm.

this is how we know naruto will last another year or two.. the byukugan has special features that need to unlocked an mastered. like for example, the way hinata uses those lion hands..​

id say the byakugan is perfect the way it is & its how dojutsus should be. its the other ones that are OP. makes the average shinobi look like a peon waving a broom. some sort of sage mode/byakugan mixture would be badd ass, just ooze out sage chakra and petrify w/e hits you.

The Byakugan definitely needs to get an upgrade of some type

The Byakugan in its own right is very powerful. I Saw a post once that gave a good way of looking at it.
Byakugan = taijutsu
Sharingan = genjutsu
Rinne'gan = ninjutsu.

Even though Sharingan can copy ninjutsu, its still main focus is its illusion techniques.
With the Power of MS user can use susanoo, while ByaKugan users skilled enough can use 8 trigrams, rotation. Yes, i know that 8 trigrams was beaten, but so was susanoo by the 5 kages.

Byakugan Also has insight that allows the user to predict how the user is going to attack, but they have to be skilled at it. Sharigan is a natural ability to the eye.

Byakugan if the user wants can See through walls, and genjutsu attacks(depending on the level of the genjutsu). It also has the ability to see miles away(regardless of what you see online. All Byakugan users can do that, not just Hinata).

Let us not forgot it can see chakra which so can sharigan, but Byakugan can see the chakra points making the opponent susceptible to attacks. The 360 degree vision gives them a huge advantage in battle and does not allow them to be surprised that easily.

I agree with tacobelt, its already powerful enough. They just need to focus more on that ability. Lets face it, if the creator of Naruto decided to focus on the hyuga, we would of all said the same things about sharigan being under powered.

I also know that if it was a hand to hand fight it would be in Neji's advantage, but its not, Sasuke is hand to hand and mid range fight, and lets face it, he's good at both. So in the end Sasuke would win, but it would be one hell of a fight that a lot of Naruto Fans would of love to see.

Ms Completely outclasses Byakugan but is 1 out of like 1000 Uchiha's archive MS.

Byakugan Should not get an upgrade. They have the better Basic eye to begin with.
