Cod 4 Modern Warfare - Before that lame ass "mod" patch which didn't work and f**ked over the people that can shoot fast.
MW2(retarded host selection, not as bad as Black ops)

World At War (The ability to shoot fast without worrying about some lame mod cap, as well as a reg cap(well for me)).

If they improved the host selection in Black Ops, it would be #2 over MW2. But the way it looks all World At War(barely any graphics upgrade) makes me not want to play it.

Black ops was a big let down to me sadly. I was looking forward to a great campaign with an amazing ending like in MW2 but i was sorely let down. I even prefer the online on MW2 better. The only thing black ops had over it was zombies but once you ace that by yourself, it gets kind of boring lol. So, i turned black ops into gamestop to reserve Dissidia 012 and kept MW2 lmao.

You can't answer it that easily. These are matters of peoples own taste.
Black Ops is good and entertaining and so is Modern Warfare.
I recommend that if you are going to buy eighter one, try and borrow them both from friends or if there's a possibility to rent games, where ever you are from, then do so.
You save alot of money and disapointent

Watching some gameplay videos and such from youtube for example gives you a nice idea of what the games are like.
"NO IT SUXX!!!11!" is always a fan talk and you shouldn't trust these
But no, the game doesen't suck.​
