Does anyone think this alternate storyline would have been better?

In an alternate scenario, Gaara does not get the Shukaku extracted from him. Instead, either he wins the battle with Deidara or Naruto and friends rescue him before Akatsuki seal Shukaku in the Gedo Mazou. That way, instead of Bee being Naruto's fellow jinchuriki and friend, Gaara would have that role and they could train at the tailed beast temple together, fight Obito and Madara together, etc...

The reasons I think this would have been better don't have to do with preferring one character over another. Rather, I think it could strengthen/emphasize the Gaara-Naruto bond, and show how Gaara really transforms from an antagonist to a hero. Plus, Gaara was introduced waaaaay before Bee, and truthfully I just didn't like how such an important character like Bee was introduced right before the Pain arc and didn't even meet Naruto until practically the war arc.

Just my humble opinion, what do you guys think?

Bee was there to teach Naruto KCM. Gaara wouldn't have known how to do that.

Nah, Gaara is a great character, but Killer Bee is more interesting and entertaining to me. If that happened, he wouldn't have gotten the focus he did.

To be honest I don't feel like Bee taught him shit. He provided instructions (step 1: defeat your true self. step 2: defeat your tailed beast.) But anyone from the Cloud could have taught him that. And Bee isn't a "sensei/role model" figure to Naruto, like Jiraiya, Kakashi, Minato, or even Iruka.

Bee taught him the tbb, chakra arms, he basically taught him everything he currently uses in battle. O__o

I love Gaara, but I don't think this would be necessary.

Without the instructions that Bee gave Naruto, kishi would have had to introduce Bee at some point anyways, and if Gaara was a jinchuuriki he would have had to be put into hiding too, and without Gaara the gokage would have been no match for Edo Madara.
BUt it's still intresting to think about.

Nah.. Well, it would have been interesting. But no. Only because Bee is a perfect jinchuuriki, where as Gaara wasn't and Gaara at the time never had the chance to really be a perfect jin. Bee was able to teach Naruto things Gaara would never have been able to.

Plus I just like Bee a lot, he's one of my favorites.

Relevancy is not dictated by what point you enter a series its by the actions of thus said character.

It's dictated by both. How would you feel if another character was suddenly introduced right now and saved everyone's asses from Madara? He has good actions, but he was introduced too late. Plus, I don't feel like Bee has a lot of character development (sure he has some, as seen when Ay tried to stop him and Naruto from going to the battlefield.) But his easygoing personality covers up his actual emotions for the most part, and it's difficult to understand his perspective when he only talks in rhymes.

Anyway, this seems to be an unpopular opinion so I will abandon this thread.
