All we know so far the Tobirama fought the Kin-Gin Brothers, and was believe to had died from severe injuries few days or months later.

I believe it was RABIES that killed the 2nd Hokage. One of the Kin-Gin bros. could have bitten or scratch Tobirama. His wounds got healed alright, but the deadly RABIES got him.

we don't know. there is a possiblity that when 2nd hokage died he fought against those two along with 20 men. and if so tobirama might've killed them as well.

both sides dying.

but this isn't confirmed or anything, it's just a little possibility
