I had two cats. It took me only one try to get them to use the litterbin for them to do their number 1's and 2's. They're very easy to train and cleaner than dogs. But dogs are fun too.

I've always had dogs but I live in my own apartment now where they don't allow them.

Wondering if cats are good? Are they clean? Temperament?

I have a 3 yr Old btw

What happened to ur dogs? Dont ditch animals they have feelings as well
You must be registered for see images

Dont get cat for amusement for petting
They (and all animal) require love, caring, they have feelings as well, ur pets are ur family ur children,
You must be registered for see images

Dont ever abandon ur family they have feelings, they protect u too, and love u :) they wait for u everyday
Pls reconsider again are u just getting cat for amusement are getting it to be ur friend and family? Dont go abandoning them cause ur moving or getting a better job. Their ur babies

Why do you say that? Do you have any?

I've always been a dog person but I can't have one at this time.

Yes, there is a cat in my house. She never shuts up and she scratches things. She scratches things because it's my younger sister's cat, and she never trained her properly, and now it's too late. Just train your kitten and everything will be alright, unless your cat is noisy (nobody is sure why my sister's cat meows so much) then that may be an issue.

I have a small dog named Juno, but no cat. Mother is allergic and I'm not a cat person.

Probably she is with the heat. You have two options to shut her up..

1) Birth control pill, like women also take but for cats. Works wonders but a after a few years it can produce on some female cats cists on her ovaries.

2) Ovariohysterectomy, the name sounds scary but it is the same as spaying a cat. It is a common surgical procedure that removes her need to breed. The noisy, long MEOOOWWWWSS out of nowhere are usually a matting call.

3) Or just simple get . It really calms cats that live under stress..

I figured that's what it was, but never really looked into it because it's not my cat haha. Thanks for the info

Dogs are the needy girlfriend who doesn't leave you alone all day.

Cats are the type to let you do whatever you want and still get some love at the end of the day ^_^

The choice is obvious, Cats are the shit.

I volunteer at my local humane society. I'm usually in the Cat House and I witness a lot of different personalities weekly. Like any animal they make good company, but I wouldn't think of them much as a companion animal. I'd say that if you get one, don't just rush into it; really try to get a good look at their personality first since some may not get along too well with children like others. Maintenance shouldn't be too much of a concern as they are pretty independent. They are clean, but some shed a bit too much, so if you don't want to worry about that, you'll probably have to read online about which breeds are better.

Didn't he get hit by a car? And then didn't you perform taxidermy on him and hang him on your chandelier? :lol

Yes, yes, and no, I have not. Interesting idea though. Not sure Mother would appreciate it though.

I don't like cats at all for whatever reason, I have a dog, a jack Russel, he is 3 months old, well trained, protective, loyal and caring.
