Does anyone else think Lee should have beaten Gaara

[Fair Warning]

I mean he went gates on that sand turd.

The fact that we don't realize Gaara won until it was just a clone, shows that Kishi had not made up his mind yet. So he decided to make Lee lose so Gaara could be at the match to set off the One Tails.

Also, if Lee won he would advance to fight Sasuke. Something people wanted to see after their little spar. And then that would make Lee know he could take Neji if he beat Sasuke

I mean come on it was a good fight, but there had to be some plot no jutsu involved or Gaara had plot armor.

Ofc Lee should have won but that would mess up the plot. Kishi has to pull an unrealistic move for Gaara to win but it made a hellava good story (making a clone in a blink of an eye and dissappearing in mid air) compare Lee and Sasuke fight with Gaara to Naruto's you can't help but say BS.

The only way that Lee could/should have one, is if it was a BA competition.

Rock Lee had more feats then Gaara during the chunin exam, Lee with weights off easily speeds blitz all around Gaara and with the 8n gates Lee attack goes above human level, but yeah Lee should had won easily.

Gaara won because of plot device no jutsu

lee with 6 gates would of been defeated. Gaara was in a differ league then everyone (other genins). He wasnt even serious when he defeated Rock lee. If he was serious, the entire place and possibly village would of been damaged!
