How battles now are just won by who can create bigger explosions? What happened to the "ninja" element in this ninja-themed manga? A classic Part I fight is to sneak around a forest and use clone feints, quick escapes like substitution, and devise strategies, not bomb the shit out of your opponent and just tank all their attacks.

Anyway. My main point is that the winner of a battle is usually whoever can alter the landscape more, and it's becoming so that bigger = better. yes i am butthurt.

Ofcourse he wasn't but realistically thinking, Orochimaru did fight children but was obviously going easy on them. And the other adult ninjas for the most part used very few jutsu from their arsenal. There weren't that many skilled ninja fights in part one.
