I never liked ATLA, way to childish in my opinion.
TLOK was more complexed, even thought the ending sucked BIG time, I still like it more than ATLA anyday...

I didn't hate the show, I was crazy hyped for it .... until it came out. Bryke really concentrated on the pairings more this time and I didn't like that. The pacing was a little too fast and I didn't like that. However, it didn't detract me from enjoying this series.

If there was anything I loved out of that show:

  • The world.
  • Tenzin, Pema, and Lin (with the whole Airbender family)
  • Naga
  • MEELO!
  • Tarrlok (You have to admit, he's a better villain than Amon)
  • Bolin
What I HATED about the series, is the whole deal with Makorra. Amon as a whole was disappointing, Iroh 2.0 was a shoo-in (let's face it, he's Mr. Fanservice besides Mako), but it wasn't enough for me as factors to dislike the show. Heck, let's throw in shipping! I don't judge cartoons by their ships, but this time it was taken way too far.

Let me say this as my opinion: No self-respecting woman will choose a guy who makes them sad over a guy who makes them happy.

Korra, no matter how much more mature it seems from ATLA, is still a kid's show. Nickelodeon just taught kids how to screw over relationships! Let's start with Mako. He has lots of good points, like being independent, brave, hardworking, handsome. Ditto on handsome. However, he'd been acting like a douche ever since he heard Bolin tell him that he was planning to ask Korra out.

Remember that episode where they were in the sewers? Mako charged in, interrogating the prisoners harshly on Korra's location. Or how about when they finally found Korra, and Mako shoved people aside to give Korra some space? On top of that, when his girlfriend Asami wanted to discuss relationship issues, he puts the blame on her because Korra is not feeling well and needs to be tended to? Well now.

Did the prisoners deserve being treated roughly? No. It was only by chance that the group found them underground with no powers. Did the people who found Korra deserve to get shoved? No they didn't, Mako was acting like they weren't thinking about Korra's best interests. Did Asami deserve to get blamed for wanting to discuss their relationship during a lull in the action? No, a big N-O. Yes Korra was out, but it's not like there wasn't anyone around to help. Jinora and Ikki could take care of Korra themselves even, not to mention all the other people in the temple at that time. What made Mako think he was the only one able to take care of Korra? What special entitlement did he have to give off that kind of behavior?

Don't get me started on Korra. She's even worse. It's like her character degraded from being a strong woman to Mako's b!tch. Yes I said it.

I don't hate it, I think it has a lot of potential and I found myself getting really involved in the plot it's just it was really lacking. The characters just aren't as likeable or memorable, they spend the episodes focusing on the wrong things (love triangles no, exploration into nonbenders being oppressed yes)

In time with more chapters it could become better than Legend of Aang, but I doubt it. The Last Airbender was one of the best shows i've ever seen and Korra couldn't really compare. I HATE how Korra got a random annoying fandom on Tumblr and stuff whilst LoA doesn't. Bunch of teenage girls wetting themselves over anything they get the chance to.

"The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that premiered on the Nickelodeon television network in 2012. Wikipedia"
There's a difference between "Animation" and "Anime" Anime has different graphics then "Animation"

If your saying ATLA and LoK are anime your basically saying Spongebob is anime, Simple as that.

Is it just me or do you guys feel like it made a mockery out of the Avatar series?

I loved the last airbender and I recently started watching legend of korra, I can safely say it is the worst anime ever made.

Why does it have it's own section when there are anime's with a larger fanbase and better reviews?

Just curious. It seemed more of a parody than an actual anime sequel.
I don't hate it. I....I just can't seem to get into LoK. Dunno why.
