If that medical shit was going down in the middle of the fight people would be shitting bricks so STFU. Kishi does not show us in detail or elaborate how it works. He cuts the boring and let happens. It is what it is.

I'm more concerned with how easy eye transplant surgery is. Obito required a medical specialist to implant his eye into Kakashi, but Madara just popped his Rinnegan eye in like a Lego piece and was good to go.

Not to mention Shisui just tearing his eye out neg diff on the spot and Itachi threw it in a crow for years. NV eyes are like Mr. Potato Head pieces.
