I mean I felt more when Zabuza and Haku died compared to this supposed final villain who is basically the origin of the whole story.
The fights were handled terribly ever since Obito became Juubi jin.
Why were normal ninjutsu never used by the jins. Its been common knowledge that the more chakra in a technique, the more powerful it becomes. So why were there never any juubi enhanced Kamui's, Katons etc.
Also the idea that each villain was merely a puppet for the one that came after got pretty old. Pain<Obito<Madara<BZ + Kaguya. I mean wtf? It just degrades everything each villain achieved.
Then we get to Kaguya in the recent chapters. She's all powerful yet only uses 2 techniques: those stick things and dimension shift. What's the point of being the most powerful if you have shit techniques. Then not even that, her character itself was terrible. She went whole chapters without saying anything and I didn't really care about her at all.
When the war arc started, Naruto still had so much potential and it was ruined because it was so rigid/systematic and then also full of inconsistencies.
It was rigid/systematic in the idea:
- that juubi jins all have the similar powers and have to look the same
- only way to win was to seal, the same way it was done before
- there was no visible difference between BSM and SM
- the whole idea of repeating the past, why can't they do their own thing? I thought Naruto was gona follow his own ninja way
Inconsistencies
- Revival of the juubi with only parts of each bijuu - I hate that
- Obito splits the shinju off from himself without losing power, but then has the juubi stolen by Madara. Madara then proceeds to gain a powerup from absorbing the shinju... dafuq is that?
- Madara using Susanoo with no eyes...
- The whole which came first IT or the moon dilemma.
There are more but that's all I can come up with right now.
Sorry for the rant. It also may be a bit jumbled up as I was just writing as I was thinking. I genuinely feel disappointed with Kishi. He ruined a great manga. Any fan could have made a better story.
