No matter how hard or how many times you try. You'll never be as a good as someone with natural talent? like me for an example. I've always wanted to be famous guitarist but no matter how i tried i couldn't remember the cords and it didn't help that i have bad hand eye coordination. I also hired a tutor to help me but that didn't help much at all. So i just gave up. Call me weak minded or whatever but you gotta admit. you need some talent for a dream that big.

Agree/disagree?

I feel that hard work can overcome natural talent if the person with natural talent does not work very hard. However, if the person with natural talent works hard to develop said talents further, it can seem like an ever-reaching road to follow for the guy who just works very hard.

Hard work always beats natural talent. What hinders people is their motivation or being lazy to do so.

Hell, I could be better at Lacrosse than Paul Rabil, I could be better than Chesty Puller and get more than 5 Navy Crosses, I can be better than Bruce Lee, more renown than Bruce Lee etc

It's the lack of motivation or ability to do so for practically everyone. I simply do not believe that one will never surpass someone in talent. Their is always a successor and always a predecessor.

Yeah, I do. Simply due the fact that there is a limit to how talented someone can be, but there are none to how hard a person can work.

Depends on the individuals. If the person with natural talent works harder than the one without it, then the answer is obviously no, however, if the person with talent works less, then the one who worked hard will catch up.

This is the case with arts, where talent is necessary, but not the only thing that drives you. If, however, you don't have even the slightest gift, then you really shouldn't even try. For instance, if you suck at drawing and struggle to pull a straight line, you really shouldn't expect becoming Picasso v2.

In your case, poor eyesight is a really big wall to jump over, so its completely reasonable that you quit. Its like having a blind person draw, or a mute person to sing. If you can't do it, you just can't. Its not your fault.

If, however, you were to quit out of laziness, that's where you are to be called a loser.

Disagree. A person with talent may have an easier start but they still have to put hard work in their art/music/etc.talent becomes pretty useless if you not try to improve yourself, since it's something like an 'advantage '.A person who tries their best and works hard for something could easily become better at the said thing than a person who has the the advantage of a talent.

Hard work does help to a great extent, but if people are under the false illusion that it bridges the gap and makes one stand on equal footing against one with the Natural Talent, then they need to stop reading mangas and sip the 'real world' coffee ... because that is just pathetic, wishful thinking. But that is not to say that people shouldn't work hard, because that does take you far in life.

If both individuals are working equally hard, there isn't a chance that non-talented one will overcome talent. People are taught that hard work triumphs all but that isn't true, just movie bs telling them what they want to hear. Idk about dreams, do you have them because you think thy are cool acc to popular opinion or is it something that resonates with you and you feel you can be yourself and still happy by living it? If it's latter then most likely you are capable of it or you simply don't fully understand whatever you're dreaming about.

Not just hard work, but immense about of luck bruh. A lot of people work hard, but not everyone ends in the same place. It's in your fate.

It depends on the difference really. If someone is just slightly more talented, then sure. But if it's a huge difference...

It's a simple truth. The only time the underdog can reach above natural talent is when the latter just doesn't try at all.

Nope, you simply need hard work, even if you have talent it will fade if you don't develop it. How many hours per day did you play the guitar?

No amount of hard work can overcome natural talent. A talented person at least ends up being an average if he/she does not practice.

"hard workers with no talent" can only catch up to "talent" if the talents don't work hard, and if the "talent" actually work really hard they almost have no limit to how much they can evolve.

which is the exact opposite of the "hard worker who have no talent" not only do they have to sacrifice everything and invest everything in "working hard" they will also eventually hit a wall where "just" hard work no longer is enough for growth of their "skill level" or at the very least the % of growth they get at that point is not even notable at all...

grow up, stop having childish fantasies and realize that in the real world no talent people will never be able to catch up, the sooner you realize this the sooner you can stop having expectations of yourself that you will never be able to reach, just give up, grow up and realize that you are just like 95% of the world population, mediocre and average and nothing special, just strive to be a good person and a good friend to your friends, live your live while you have it instead of wasting it for a dream that will never come true.

anyone here who believes that hard work is enough to catch up to talent should really watch this anime: Sakuraso no Pet na Kanojo

the entire message of the anime is this topic (can hard work catch up to talent)
