I used to think death meant you'd drift in blackness for eternity, but now I believe it's just the end altogether. And, while I 100% doubt the possibility of an afterlife, I think it's possible that reincarnation is a thing. Just not in the sense of a spirit leaving a body. Have you ever thought about how we(I think everyone does?) believe ourselves to be our consciousness? A person can lose chunks of their brain and, assuming they survive, still believe their self to be the same person. This is entirely based on my ignorance, but If we're not the whole it could be that we're the bits. What happens when the brain bits of a deceased man ends up as part of a fly's brain? Could the same consciousness that man once felt be in that fly? Like a person with amnesia of literally everything before they entered their coma, or a flash drive being formatted.
