Does an EMS user lose their light if they use Izanagi or Izanami?

Yes you will lose light of the eye which used Izanagi/Izanami because you're doing/correcting an impossible thing in the first place. So there has to be a big price to pay for it.
Plus Izanagi doesn't need Senju DNA. Just because Danzo and Obito used it, that doesn't mean Senju DNA is required for that.

I've always been thinking about this topic. The only people in the Manga that have been shown to use Izanagi are Danzo, Obito and some random Uchihas in the past. And we already know that you need to be an Uchiha with at least 3 tomoe Sharingan to use Izanagi(that's if you have Senju DNA of course). We also know that by using techniques like Izanagi or Izanami it will cause the user to go blind.

i dont get how so many ignorant people like you have not understood inzanagi and izanami?

ems prevents blindness from the overuse of ms, when using either zanagi or zanami it closes off and can never open or use again. its the same for ems use it once u lose one eye

Regardless of what Itachi was referring too there's still two possibilities. Either yes it does because Izanagi and Izanami aren't MS techniques or no it doesn't because like Transcendence said "no matter the technique, the user will never go blind and it stops the ramifications of the Dojutsu techniques for good." Kishi really needs to elaborate on this topic in the future.

Well, the only known EMS users in NV history are Sasuke and Madara, so until one of these guys try it or show evidence of having used it then we will never know.

If Madara could use Izanagi without going blind, Im pretty sure he'd have used it against Hashirama to beat him.

In their fight in the time skip he could have very well used it, but his purpose was to get Hashi's cells not to win. Trump cards mainly work bcuz the opponent don't see them coming.
