I'm not sure whether the victim must die of the intended conditions specified in the DN , but lets suppose that's true.

Suppose Peter's intended to die of food poisoning after 10 days ,a condition specified on a certain DN , and he tells Tom to shoot him in the head . Then , the latter does it immediately. What will happen ?

I could come up with three possibilities but I'm uncertain if any of them is correct.

1.since dying of food poisoning itself is a perfectly physically-feasible cause of death , the conditions are valid according to the terms in DN ,
and he should somehow survive from the gunshot and die after 10 days , no matter how fatal it is .

2.the fatal gunshot renders the intended conditions invalid , and he dies from the gunshot .

3.tom will not agree in the first place (i.e. everything is manipulated to ensure that tom will die of the intended cause)

Nope. If the Death Note is used to make someone die after they would have normaly died, then it wont work. Otherwise light would have written: Light Yagami, age 76,000,000, after becoming god of the new world and reigning supreme overlord of earth for 75,999,985 years, Colossal Explosion.

Say if I wrote your name in the Death Note, and I wrote in it that you would slit your wrists and die of blood loss hours later. If I shot you in the head, then that negates the previous specifications surrounding your death that I wrote in the Death Note. Just because I wrote that you would die of blood loss in the Death Note, that does not mean exterior factors cannot interfere in such a way that negates what I wrote in the Death Note. Essentially, when you write specifications for conditions surrounding a death in the Death Note, they're basically preferences.

In the case of the situation you created, either scenario 2 or 3 would happen.

it has to be 'physically feasible' according to the rules
