We see in this latest manga arc mitsuki can do purple lightning and in the anime it only teases boruto doing it so far. I think we're do for it happening soon before we get the kawakii arc in the anime.

I feel like this is going to be a manga only thing. Ever since Mistuki pulled a Sasuke I can’t really see this happening... I think if anything Konohamaru should seek Kakashi’s guidance in mentoring team seven and maybe even getting stronger. I’d rather see Kakashi train someone one on one than the entire team.
