Do you think Tobi is a different person in the anime and the manga?

Masashi has built up the characteristics of Tobi to be equally relative to both Obitos and Madaras.As proof of this theory which is now a FACT,a lot of people were debating of the matter by saying Madara is Tobi.However on the on the other hand,a lot of people debated over Obito.And while Obito is Tobi,but ONLY in the MANGA,what if Tobi is Madara in the anime?To me this sounds kinda good,seeing Kishi splitting the story in two halfs,but it's kinda bad,because then Tobi won't have a true identity.So what do you think?Is it a coincidence the anime still didn't catch up with the manga,or is it the "split" plan?

I dont see how he can make tobi madara in the anime because then the war would completely change and it has stayed the same up to now but maybe i am misunderstanding what you're saying

I think Tobi will still be Obito in the anime. His voice does sound quite different from his younger voice, but it's not that much of an issue imo.

And if madara were tobi in the anime then what was kabuto showing tobi in the coffin before the war began. It would be cool to see a split story but there would be way to many plot holes and unanswered questions.

I highly doubt (okay to be honest I'm 100% sure it wont) it would happen, as the anime is supposed to follow with the manga pretty closely. And, although it is a somewhat interesting idea, however there is a problem: it would mean a lot of things in the war would have to be changed and there might be a lot of different outcomes. That seems like a lot of extra work to go to for one thing. Plus, I do not think it would be fair to the people who only read the manga or only watch the anime because they wouldn't see both sides. It just isn't logical.

If the anime deviates strongly from the Manga - it would be on something like establishing pairings (such as NaruHina - which the anime seems to be somewhat biased towards) or appending a more elaborate ending to the series than Kishimoto will in the manga (provided he does a rather basic ending).

I doubt we'll see such a massive deviation.

I'm not too aware of an anime derived from a manga to do such a thing - spare for Full Metal Alchemist (done because the Manga author suspended the project indefinitely in the middle of its production - the anime was popular enough that things continued), and Death Note (I'm aware only through anecdotal discussion that the endings of the two differ - which is not to the degree of shifting the basis for almost a years' worth of plot around).

If there were to be a major change in the course of the plot - I would have rather seen Rinne Tensei removed from the equation following Pain's assault. It was bad enough to arbitrarily kill off a considerable portion of the cast... and a hundred times worse to arbitrarily bring them back with bullshit-no-jutsu. If the anime were going to make a substantial break from the manga plot, it would (or at least should) have been there. Fewer people should have died for the sake of trolling, and few to nobody should have been brought back. And the entire time-scale of the war adjusted.

There again... the Anime thought 6 months of "I'm on a boat!" would be appropriate filler... so I suppose I should count my blessings that they are sticking to the plot.

no offense but no...just no, there would be no reason for kakashi gaiden then. Also, the whole war arc would be ruined

Perhaps he will manage to haggle Kakashi into taking off his mask, first.

There was a parody comic strip like that made a couple years ago, not long after Tobi first appeared in the Manga... "Operation Unmask Kakashi." ... Basically the whole death of Obito and formation of the Akatsuki was a ruse to get Kakashi to remove his mask. Rin was in on it as well.
