[Discussion] Do you think there will be stronger characters than Meruem

Meruem was pretty much the strongest character shown so far,by alot aswell,he and 2 of his subordinates never even got legit beat,and the 3rd one got beat by the EoS powered up main character.What that leaves us with is the fact that so far the strongest enemies are undefeated and so it wouldnt be weird to introduce weaker enemies than them and still have the "heroes" struggle.Also considering EoS Gon was on par with pre rose Meruem (or so Pitou says) it wouldnt make much sense for stronger oponents to be introduced since we would need to wait till the series is at its end for the main character to even stand a chance agaisnt a mid way villain (I am asuming this is mid-way,tbh I know nothing of how long the mangaka plans to keep HxH going) let alone the group beating an even stronger one (I think I made more confusing than it had to be but I hope you get what I mean)

Its kind of like the Freeza thing,he seemed at the time to be the ultimate enemy but then stronger ones started poping up and so stupid power ups started happening

The Chimera ant actually came from the Dark Continent, so yeah there are way more stronger people there

I don't think Gon, and Killua will be able to go to the Dark continent. I don't want to spoil anything lol Bust Kurapika, and Leorio are going lel

The chimera ant's were ranked as a B level threat while the great disasters from the dark continent are an A level threat. So it's possible that we might see some guys as strong or stronger than meruem was at either pre or post rose.

No one will be stronger than Mereum. Maybe pre nuke but not post nuke. Pre Nuke Mereum could probably take on atleast 2 Neteros at once. Post Nuke Meruem could probably take on Ging, Beyond, and Old Netero at once. There will probably be several characters as strong and stronger than the royal gaurd but not as a strong as post nuke Meruem...The ants were ranked B because there weren't many strong ones. If they were all royal gaurd level then it would have been A ranked. DC, the norm will be royal gaurd difficult at least I would imagine

Once Gon regains his possibility to use his Aura again, I wouldn't count him out.

Yes i think their are stronger enemy than post-rose meruem.
And i think EOS gon will be a lot stronger than he was in chimera ant arc. Because he wasn't in his prime and he put restriction to attain a power just to defeat Pitou. And in his prime he will have a lot experience and lot techniques.

Yeah, why not? Usually the next big bad is always stronger, i don't mean in HxH but generally. Buffing the bad guys is one of the things that leads to moments of great struggle and tension, which is absolutely necessary in these action shonens.

Also, i haven't catch up with the manga yet, but from what i've read in hunterpedia, wasn't it already established that there are bigget threats in the DC than the Chimera (the five great calamities)? That should include Meruem as well.
