Do you think the Kira case was too much for L?

I don't think so. In the end L was the one who won. The only problem was that Light had an edge over him and L was working with idiots.

Well...sadly enough he died trying to crack the case. Poor L I was so sad that he died...somewhere deep down I wanted he and Light to become friends. :T_T::T_T::T_T::T_T::T_T:

Actually, Naomi would have. The whole reason why she died so fast is cause she knew too much too soon. They intended her to go after Light after Raye's death. This is on page 63 on How to Read. :p Doing a Manga project for school, gotta source stuff haha.

A tad bit, but only because of the shinigami.

I love how nobody cares this is in the wrong section. Only proof we need that the NDS is on crack...

Well in theory L was on the verge of victory.

He had already determined who Kira was (Light), but needed physical proof. He was taking Misa (who knew the identity of Kira) into custody. So between humanity's basic instinct for survival, a lie detector test, and then follow up work on whatever Misa may have said would have had a good chance in resulting in defeat for Light.

However, it took the act of a Death God (which was beyond his human abilities to defeat) to stop him.

I think the minute you add someone, it's L's game...

And realistically Light probably should have lost when that ?Naomi Ex-FBI? agent went to deliver information about who her husband had been doing or whatever information she had (can't remember exactly what she was going to go say). There's no way an Ex-FBI agent would be so dumb as to completely blow their false name and cover to the confident whims of a child. I mean realistically what are the odds someone who has their name kept secret would risk telling anyone (since anyone could be Kira) the sensitive information she had.

But that's just ny thoughts.

What do you mean with this? Anyways.

Light had an edge over L because he already knew about the DN and the Shinigami. L started from scratch and figured out that there was a DN and a Shinigami.

He would've won if he knew that there was a Shinigami and a DN from the beginning and if he didn't get so attached to Light (this had a huge impact and eventually caused his death). Near and Mello cracked the case though.

Mostly because L had already gotten that far and Near continued his work.

At the end of the day L did win.

Only reason Light had an edge was because of the Shinigami and The fake rule he placed inside the Deathnote.

otherwise, L would of cracked the case.

What I mean is, that if she HAD joined up when she tried instead of Light intercepting, she should have been able to tell L her theories, and as such helping him with the case. But the authors decided to kill her.

The only reason Light won, was because other than L opposing him, the gaping plot-holes and the criminally retarded task force aided him. Other than that, everything Light did was quite average and not overly sensational.
