The biggest troll would be if Madara revives everyone on the battlefield and get's a good guy while dying. Yes indeed it would be very repetitive but it's Kishi , so everything is possible

We know for a fact he will reform in the very end. Hashirama's dialogue with Sasuke already set that in stone.

But this doesn't make Madara a bad villain at all, as Obito wasn't a bad villain just because he changed his ways after his defeat.

That said, he will be defeated in battle prior to this, as were Nagato and Obito. He won't just give up midway in the fight.
