Big Mom is on a completely different level than Capone and Luffy. Because they are not close to her in strength I doubt Oda will allow them to defeat her in this arc. It doesnt help with story progression if the main character beats one of the strongest people in the manga by luck.

It kinda does, gear fourth Luffy who is stronger than any other suchibukai would make sense to be a yonko as no one but an admiral or yonko would beat him (and law is a suchibukai so it would make sense for Luffy to be a tier ahead of him) and it isn't like he can be a top commander as he is his own captain, but I guess I agree in the point that he could work on his haki even more, although his armament haki is down pact

Luffy isn't stronger than Shichibukais, he beat Doffy only because of law and people from Dressrosa....Luffy IMO can't become Yonko level until he can easy diff a shichibukai

With the exception of Kuma, Mihawk and Doffy yeah he kind of is. The Shichibukai all seemed stronger when he met them but he ended up beating them.
Right now we have 1 shichibukai who could stand against him and 3 unknowns(Kuma though unlikely anymore, Mihawk and Weevil)
Croc couldn't keep up with MF, Moriah lost his advantage when he lost all those shadows, Boa couldn't beat him now, Buggy..., Jinbei's strong but if he's joining the SH's I doubt he's stronger than his captain, Teach is a Yonkou now, Law always brings up debates but Doffy showed it's possible to rush Room and Luffy should be quick enough after that the power dif is no question. So which Shichibukai is Luffy not stronger than?
There's only 3 Shichibukai left to interact with anyway and 2 may end up being allies so who else is left in Luffy's way of becoming Pirate King other than the top pirates left in the sea? He's gonna have to fight Yonkou's seriously here soon.

Right now there are 3 Shichibukai's Luffy can't beat, and no Mihawk isn't luffy's ally. also Kuma can't stand to him??? lol please, Weevil looks to be stronger than doffy since he has the physical strength of WB not to mention there are only 5 shichibukais ATM meaning Oda might get 2 more
Also my point isn't he won't fight a yonko but that he isn't strong enough cause he can fight as many yonko's as he feels but at his power level, he isn't beating them 1v1....

How do you know/figure he isn't/won't be an ally? Why would he train Luffy's crewmate if he wasn't gonna be some form of an ally with him later on? Just because Zoro will have to defeat him to gain the title strongest doesn't exclude the possibility he could be allies with Luffy and not have to fight him. Plus he seems to be on good terms with Shanks and I can't imagine him fighting Shanks successor or whatever.
No I don't think Kuma will be able to beat Luffy at this point anymore but that's mainly because we haven't seen anything new from him. We know the Pacifista's were based on him and he's working with the Marines which means his body should be the same quality as the Pacifistas'. It'd make no sense not to make them out of a better material if it's available and the WG has the resources. So in that line, Luffy handled the Pacifistas pretty easily and yes Kuma will be stronger than Pacifistas but the fact Luffy was able to damage the body of one so much easier than before bodes well for him if he fought Kuma. I say if because he too could end up being an ally to Luffy rather than an opponent, his modifications may be able to be reversed or over-rid possibly.
There's only 5 now and Oda also had a character of high authority show an interest in disbanding the system, a system which just so happens to be crumbling at the moment with defeat after defeat and people like Law and BB abandoning their seat for something else.
I wasn't arguing that point just the point about him not being stronger than the Shichibukai.

Zoro earned his respect with the sword move and fighting the apes but yeah he begged a lot too.
Fair enough but that was earlier in the manga, doesn't mean he'll stay an enemy. I just find it unlikely he'd fight the captain of the person he wants to surpass him unless that's the final stage to surpassing him. But yeah in a fight he'd win. Plus there's this scan

No he really didn't beat him on his own. Luffy on his own couldn't finish Doffy in one G4, Luffy with help couldn't, and if he couldn't then the after effects would leave him too vulnerable.
I agree about Kuma though, last we saw I doubt he'd be able to beat G4 Luffy.
