Hmmm I never thought about that. I would say Shisui approves because he did everything he could to protect the village, even though Sasuke is a threat, I feel like Shisui would be understanding.

You've had the most thought out and intelligent response. I think, as you did, that Shisui would understand why Itachi did what he did but might disapprove of following Danzo and maybe leaving Sasuke alive but still I think Shisui would be understanding of what Itachi did.
No he would not since the village is still endangered due to the war, but on the other hand he would not entirely hate Itachi after what he has done. He still did alot for the village even if it was the longer way. Also, I'd like you to please check out my thread >

. It's about how Shisui would be stronger than Madara if he was still alive and didn't follow the 'Will of Fire' ideal.
I think Shisui would agree with what Itachi wanted, but not the way Itachi did things. Itachi could have went to Hiruzen about Danzo's actions, and asked for forgiveness. But to protect his brother, Shisui would understand that. Just Shisui would have handled things differently.
He'd probably understand because he was very devoted to the Leaf Village but he'd probably be disappointed that Itachi fell in with Danzo seeing as how Danzo is the one that indirectly caused Shisui's death...
