He basically wanted to do what Itachi did on a larger scale - sever all his bonds,and connections so he could protect the world.
From talking to the Kages he understood how the Shinobi world is, and why Itachi wanted to protect Konoha.
His version of Hokage was to protect Konoha from the Shadows, which is what Itachi did. He was never aiming to be a traditional Hokage.
Even if some chance out of hell Sasuke wanted to be Hokage (or some form of Hokage) during the war, afterwards I'm sure he agreed with Naruto being Hokage and him working ¨ïn the shadows¨

I know all that. He was on the that Lelouch path. I just don't see no reason for him to do it. lelouch did it for his sister and friends. Sasuke repeatedly said he is all alone. He "Stopped" Madara, which Itachi wanted. I don't see any reason for him to keep going after that. Plus if he wanted to do it like Itachi, he wouldn't kill the kages. He would've placed them in a genjutsu and control them from the shadow.
What I really want to know, Who is he really doing this for? We know he ain't doing this for himself or Itachi. If he doing it for the shinobi world who really don't give a damn about him, then he is straight up dumb for it!
Indra fought over leadership.
Madara fought all his life to protect his clan and bring peace to the world.
You get it? Normally in anime/manga, any characters like him at that point of life, would just travel the world or die doing something heroic .
This is where Kishi messed up Sasuke's development. I don't see any reason for Sasuke wanting to become Hokage! When suigetsu and Jugo told Sasuke that edo Madara was still around, he got a lil mad. He wanted to ensure that itachi's mission was successful.
Then after all this talks with the 4 hokages about what is a village, what is a clan, and what is a shinobi, we assumed that he got shit together and decided to finish itachi's mission for him as a parting gift or something.
Then after reaching to the battlefield, out of no where he said he will become hokage

Honestly, I don't see any reason why he would want to become hokage to the people that don't even like him or to a village that gave up his clan. You gotta be really stupid for this. That is like going back to the police station that ordered the hit on your family and tell them that you want to become their chief police officer!

Then after hearing the whole story from the sage of six paths about Indra and Ashura, this dude Sasuke still want to become Hokage.
Again, I still don't see no reason why he want to become hokage. You learned how the sage of six paths made a dumb decision to not pay attention to Indra and why he passed the leadership to ashura. The old man basically told him that he picked Ashura because of the teamwork motto he was on.
At this point, Sasuke should realize that it is fruitless become a hokage due nobody not liking him and he got shitty social skills. But oh well.
Kaguya is sealed now. Sasuke still want to become hokage. So he wanna kill Naruto. The dumbest decision of all time. Dude should've taken his behind home, master the rinnegan first. Could've killed each kage silently weeks later, but oh well. Sasuke is officially the dumbest character of all time right here. Somebody need to get him the "Art of War" book! but oh well. lol. I now see reason for a person to become a hokage. BUT, who the F Sasuke doing all this for? Itachi told him that he loves him no matter what! So I don't see any reason for Sasuke to go this extent for Itachi. Sasuke had no kids at that moment or any family at all. So why become the dark knight of the shinobi world that gave up your clan and don't really like yo ass!
I don't see any reason for Kishi to make Sasuke go through this phase.
Anyway... Sasuke lost the fight due to attacking Superman(Naruto) head on. Something that Itachi would never do.

Sasuke's idea of Hokage was basically become the next lelouch! I don't see any reason for him to do that. Lelouch practically did it for his sister that was alive at the time! Why would Sasuke do it???
