-His flame alchemy is top notch destructive. Anything in his way can be burned
-His precision attacks are lethal, against envy, envy had no way of dodging the flames.
-If he feels like it, he can burn the enemy from the inside out. Or burn their eyes out!

I feel like he was held back in some fights, cuz he is way too OP!!!

Brotherhood. He burns envy from the inside out, and ignites the fluid in his eyes. Also the only reason why he was useless was because his gloves for wet. He doesn't need the gloves anymore

I think he's basing it off the end of FMA so it was to be assumed mustang got his sight back after accepting the offer to use a philosophers stone to restore it

He can transmute anything with just a handclap and his fire alchemy can be used in an instant
