Belief. A mental acceptance. If a small kid never been exposed to any religion they will end up to be a total non believer. What is god?what is religion? I don't know what's that. That going to be their mentality growing up. Just take a look at uncontacted peoples. They may have their own superstitious belief but I don't think they know what's god and religion. So it's not genetic. Growing up phase of human involving lots of learning and knowledge taking.

Thought the thread was gonna be about how some people are descended from spirit beings and can automatically 'feel' the truth in religion while others are pure sandboxes who are completely incapable of grasping religious concepts.

Anyway, its possible. But free will only works if the greator influence comes from experience, not predetermined genetics etc

You mean the innate nature to recongise the creator? That does exist, yes. People search for the answer and hold a type of belief (for or against) based upon their own measures.
