Obito talks about kakashi and rin but doesn't mention anything about his parents, or for that matter the uchiha clan. This leads me to believe that maybe his parents were dead already and that the uchiha clan rejected him, and since Obito is basically a dark naruto I think kishi put him in the same situation and made him an orphan.

As it turns out, the only ones who seem to care for their parents are neji, Kakashi, Naruto, Sasuke, Ino, Choji, gaara, and maybe one or two others. Other than that everyone else seems to value the village even more

Now that you mention it, that does make sense. But then again, Obito said "I know I'm the black sheep of the Uchiha clan" so maybe he had parents but they didn't care about him cuz he wasn't a prodigy. He might've been ostracized from the rest of the clan. His personality didnt fit them anyway
