Disagree partially. Sage Mode might be the better way to go.
Reasons;

1. Sharingan have been known to have semi-control over Kyuubi.
2. Sasuke entered Naruto's mind once, and basically told the Fox to shove it.
3. Sage Mode is more powerful in some ways so far.
4. Sage Mode is more than just power from the Kyuubi, and Naruto, it's from the world around Naruto.

Why would he learn something from the Water element?

1.Uzumaki means Whirlpool...
Wind + Water = Whirlpool

2. then in Naruto vs. Sasuke:
water kills fire
wind kills lightning

3. remember Naruto's dialogue when yamato said that fire grows with wind: "that means my wind will help sasuke come up"
so Wind helps Fire; Water helps Lightning...

Since the fight with Gaara, Naruto has been ahead of Sasuke. That's why Sasuke wanted more power, he was jealous of Naruto's rapid growth.

No it does not beat wind. Where did you go to school? Wind/Air is the driving force behind fire. In real life wildfires are directed by the wind smart@$$. Sasuke can shoot fire at Naruto, and Naruto could probably send it right back at Sasuke. Or that's how it should logically work.

So Naruto was ahead of Sasuke at the beginning of shippuden? No I don't think so. Sasuke wiped the floor with team 7 without even really trying.

I'm so sick of people addressing this as if it was a real fight. Neither Naruto nor Sakura made one move to attack Sasuke, even after he attacked them. So it's impossible to say if they were at his level.

In physics, yes, Wind can direct fire. But in the Naruto world, Wind chakra is weak to fire chakra, so it wouldn't function the same.

agreed totally true and naruto may want to defeat sasuke so he might use wind to demolish the fire juts us leaving the lightning which will lead to naruto either learning a new water jutsu or getting help by a water element user

It was said that if Naruto used Rasenshuriken when Sasuke used a Fire element move, Naruto would be screwed. This makes sense, because in life, the more oxygen the fire gets, the stronger it becomes. But if Naruto used Rasenshuriken and Sasuke used a Lightning element move, Sasuke would be the one screwed. So, fire beats wind, but wind beats lightning. As I said, YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID. :flaw:
