^Definitely this. Tobi said that he gave the Rinnegan to Nagato. It could have been directly or indirectly. I don't think that Tobi has Senju blood because he would have been able to have the Rinnegan himself. I think that because he is not a Senju, he fostered the Rinnegan through Nagato.

Tobi has Senju blood. He has Hashirama's DNA within him. He already explained this. He said this was how he was able to expand the length with Izanagi because of Hashirama's special chakara within his DNA. Nagato's Rinnegan is Madara's Rinnegan. Tobi and Madara obviously know each other so what do you think Tobi did with Madara's Rinnegan after he died?

My guess is that Nagato was a test tube baby that Madara and Tobi worked on together. Maybe after Madara died he had Tobi implant his eyes into the fetus. Then years later Tobi releases Nagato. That would explain why Madara knows who Nagato is even though the timelines don't match up.

Nagato was a perfect puppet because he has alot of chakra to use it... He was to create a jutsu for tobi , to revive Madara (rinne tensei)...Which is why when Madara got revived he said "The brat nagato finally did it.."

Because he needs a pawn to sync to Gedo Mazo. This is why he is using Sasuke... He wants Sasuke to awaken the Rinnegan so he can sync him to the Gedo Mazo to complete his plan.

Dude if he doesn't have his eye no space time and I don't no if him turning intangible is his eye but I believe it is so no walking through walls either. Those feats are too great to lose

No not even the anime showed that which is my point, nagato's hair was always covered. But if nagato didn't have the rinnegan why would kishi cover his eyes straight away. After all this tobi and madara talk about nagato I think the answer is the reason kishi covered his eyes is because he always had the rinnegan (well from whenever it was first ever implanted into him that is)

He probably had his eyes covered so we would never have a definitive answer until he finally gave one.

If it's true that the rinnegan eyes were Madara's, Then i see no reason why he can't use Madara's Ms Jutsu's like susanoo, since madara can use it while having the rinnegan active
I would of thought he would of stumbled Upon them during Training or something.

if they were madaras and were implanted they could've been stuck in that form

My theory is Tobi is Kagami Uchiha, he knew Madara who gave him his rinnegan on his death bed to give it to the child of prophecy who is a Uzumaki (Nagato) and when he gets old enough use it to bring Madara back to life using Rinne of Rebirth.

Tobi was angry when he found out Nagato used it on the leaf and said "That was meant for me" - Tobi didnt directly mean he needed it as he was perfectly fine without it

Madara knew when he came back to life that Kagami brought him back and even said "it must be him" implying that his friend brought him back but with the wrong jutsu


So yeah i agree Nagato had it implanted and the eye tobi has now is Madara's rinnegan

There's plenty of debates about this topic already on the forums.

It's likely that Nagato's eyes were implanted, especially since Tobi claimed that they were his whilst fighting Konan. Also, the manga has shown that the Rinnengan is an upgrade from the EMS, which Nagato would not have had access to.

It also seems unlikely that a Senju would achieve the Rinnengan, since they did not inherit the Sage's eyes.

this sums it for me
